Ceredigion Beaches

Ceredigion boasts some stunning beaches, including lots of dog friendly sites.

Here are some of the local dog friendly beaches (and travel times by car from Lluest):

  • Aberaeron - North and South Beaches, (10 mins northwest)

  • Aberporth Beach, Aberporth (30 mins south)

  • Cei Bach Beach, Llanarth (15 mins south)

  • Cilborth Beach, Cilborth (30 mins south)

  • Cwmtydu Beach, Cwmtydu (25 mins south)

  • Llanrhystud Beach, Aberystwyth (25 mins north)

 

There are also some beaches that allow dogs outside of the summer season such as Aberystwyth South Beach (45 mins north) where dogs are welcome October to April inclusive.

River fishing in and around Aberaeron

Aberaeron Town Angling Club - River Aeronn

Aberaeron Town Angling Club (ATAC) control around 2 miles of double bank fishing on the lower Aeron, as well as two short sections on the neighbouring river Arth, and on the river Teifi above Lampeter.  ATAC also have a partnership agreement for reduced permit rates at the National Trust, Llanerchaeron Estate.  If you purchase both permits you have fishing access along a continuous stretch of the Aeron for approximately 4 miles.

Llandysul Paddlers Club and Canoe Centre

Just a 30 minutes drive from Lluest Cottages you will find a huge range of watersports, and other outdoor activities on offer at Llandysul Paddlers.

Here are a few of the activities that might tempt you!:

  • Run the (Teifi) rapids!

  • Flat water river trips

  • Whitewater rafting

  • River swimming

  • Coasteering

  • Rock climbing
